Statistical software built by statisticians
Navure is a statistical analysis platform built by a team of researchers, engineers and educators. We combine academic rigor, decades of teaching experience and the power of R in a simple interface so that working with data is accurate, reproducible and accessible.
The team
Julio Alejandro Di Rienzo
Scientific director and project lead
Biologist from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (UNC), MSc in Biometry from the University of Buenos Aires and Doctor Honoris Causa from the Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigacion y Ensenanza (CATIE), Costa Rica.
Former Full Professor of Statistics and Biometry at the Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias of UNC, where he led the development of reference statistical software in Latin America for over three decades.
He now leads the scientific direction of Navure, translating decades of teaching and professional practice into a modern, broadly accessible tool focused on the analyst's productivity.
Mauricio Di Rienzo
Principal engineer
Software Engineer and Biologist from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (UNC), with over 10 years of experience in data-driven software development.
He has worked across technology, cybersecurity and agro-industrial sectors, building systems for data processing, statistical analysis and reporting, with a strong focus on scalability and performance.
He has solid expertise in software architecture and technologies such as Java, C# and R, along with knowledge of artificial intelligence applied to data analysis and process optimization.
He currently focuses on developing tools that bridge science and software engineering, enabling more efficient and accessible data-driven decision making.
He is joined by a team of software engineers, statisticians and educators who share the same vision: statistical analysis should be an ally, not an obstacle.
Academic advisors
Researchers outside the Navure core team who contribute methodological review and statistical validation. Their institutional affiliation is independent.
Fernando Casanoves
Professor in the Doctorate in Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development, Universidad de La Amazonia, Colombia.
Professor Emeritus at the Centro Agronomico Tropical de Investigacion y Ensenanza (CATIE), Costa Rica.
Specialized in statistics applied to agricultural and environmental systems.
He has led research and biostatistical analysis initiatives, with a strong focus on statistical modeling and biodiversity analysis.
He has contributed to postgraduate education across Latin America and Europe, and currently collaborates in the training of master's and doctoral students.
Raúl E. Macchiavelli
Full Professor of Biometry, Facultad de Ciencias Agricolas, Universidad de Puerto Rico - Mayaguez
PhD in Statistics from Penn State University. Over 40 years of experience teaching applied statistics and analyzing data across diverse fields, particularly in agricultural, biological and biomedical sciences.
He has taught and collaborated on research at universities and research institutes across Puerto Rico, the United States, Spain, and several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Pablo Paccioretti
Researcher and lecturer, Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias, Universidad Nacional de Cordoba
Agronomist and PhD in Agricultural Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, where he works as a researcher and lecturer.
His work focuses on statistical and spatial analysis applied to precision agriculture, with extensive experience in developing methodologies and computational tools in R for georeferenced data processing.
He has participated in national and international research projects, published in high-impact scientific journals, and contributed to the development of specialized software for agricultural data analysis.
By the numbers
Researchers, students and professionals across Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania rely on our software for their daily work.
Our story
Navure did not appear from nowhere. It is the synthesis of more than three decades of building, teaching and applying statistical methodology in academic research and professional consulting.
-
1990s
Beginnings at UNC
The founding team starts developing statistical tools at the Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias of the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, combining rigorous methodology with the real needs of researchers and students.
-
2021
Navure is born
On November 8, 2021 the first commit of Navure lands: a complete redesign, built on modern .NET, natively integrated with R and designed to scale both for individual use and institutions.
-
Today
In continuous evolution
More than 4 years of active development, regular releases and a roadmap focused on advanced procedures, better user experience and professional support.
What drives us
Statistical rigor
Every procedure we ship is validated against established statistical literature. This is not a pretty visualizer: these are results you can cite.
Teaching mindset
We come from the classroom. We design every interface so a student can understand it in minutes and a researcher can use it without wasting time on the manual.
The best of R, no friction
R is still the reference language in academic statistics. We integrate it natively so you get its power without writing code if you don't want to.
